Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church was founded in 1872 by a group of dedicated Christians who wanted to create a welcoming space for all people. In 2025, the church endeavored to embrace a new name while carrying on the torch to continue spreading the truth and sound doctrine to the community of Denison.  Out of this dedication and growth, The Way Baptist Church rose up and embraced the torch.  We have grown into a vibrant community that serves our members and our city and we want you to become part of our church family.

 We strive to connect people and families with God and each other. We are all about people because God is all about people. We connect with our community and try to have a deep positive impact on those around us. We give tools to grow in our faith through Bible studies, powerful sermons, high-energy worship, and through our community of believers.  We are dedicated to connecting individuals and families with God and one another. We provide resources to help individuals grow in their faith through Bible studies, inspiring sermons, and energetic worship, all within a supportive community of believers.
